What does an 8,000-bottle wine cellar look like? How about we show you! We converted a large detached garage into one of the most incredible wine rooms you will ever see. Everything in the room is custom built for an avid wine collector who has just over 7500 bottles in his collection.
The room is tiled with an oversized "Montauk blake slate" floor, two black walnut rolling library ladders, natural black walnut wine racking, two climate-controlled systems, a humidifier, heater (since the building is detached and temps drop below 55 degrees in the winter), and of course our signature Joseph & Curtis Custom Wine Cellars tasting and decanting station.
The custom made wine racks took just over 8 weeks to build and include 750ml, 1.5 ltr, 3.0 ltr, and champagne storage. The wine racks were built to show bottles horizontally, cork forward,, in bin style which makes organizing a breeze. The ceiling is 10', hence the library ladders can roll the entire room. Overall, I have to say this is one of my personal favorites; it will be featured in Wine Spectator shortly.
Please keep J&C in mind and contact us if we can ever be of service!
Cheers!
